MusiXine International Music Film Contest will accept entries sent on the date of the submission deadline 30 April 2009.

MusiXine entries may be either documentaries or features: from concert films to rockumentaries, from artist biopics to musicals. However, please note that this is not a contest for music videos. Contest films may represent any music genres - from pop to classical. Even the film's duration is not regulated: both short and feature films completed after 1 January 2008 may be submitted.

The best film in tune will receive the MusiXine Main Award of 5,000 euros, which is donated by Oulu Music Video Festival. The 2007 MusiXine winner was the free jazz documentary My Name is Albert Ayler (directed by Kasper Collin, Sweden 2005) and in 2008 the jury's favourite was the Finnish punk rock film Punksters & Youngsters (dir. Jouko Aaltonen, Finland 2008).

Please note that no participation fee is charged. Neither do we pay for any screening fee in the name of the fair play and equal standing in a contest with a considerable main prize.
