Eight Films Selected to MusiXine

Fri 24 Jul 2009 09:32:45 AM EEST

MusiXine presents again the new trends of international music film in the form of fresh works. Eight films were chosen to compete in this year’s contest and the selection parades an international line-up of documentaries that open new viewpoints to music, making music and music related phenomena. The selected films tell stories not only on uncompromising artists and their inspiration, but also on the social and even universal significance of music. The most meaningful tones can be found in those that present music as a weapon in the fight for individual rights and cultural identity.

These eight films present a wide selection of music genres – including punk, folk music, reggae, soul, avant-garde and industrial music.
