Ulla Simonen, Film Producer

Simonen came to film industry through art school and worked in 1997-2004 as a producer at the production company Kinotar in Helsinki. She has produced the awarded films by Susanna Helke, Virpi Suutari and Mika Taanila among others, as well as numerous international co-productions. Simonen was co-opted as a member of the European Film Academy in 2001. In 2004 she started working as a production advisor for AVEK, The Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture. Nowadays Simonen is an independent producer and an expert advisor at several European film organizations.

Kasper Collin, Director and Producer

Director Kasper Collin has a degree in Culture and Film studies from Gotherburg University, Sweden. He has been working with film and television since the mid 1990s. Collin won the MusiXine Main Prize 2007 with his directorial debut My Name Is Albert Ayler, a stunning documentary on the American free-jazz legend. He runs his own production company Kasper Collin Produktion where he has several new films under development.

John Caulkins, Festival Director

John Caulkins is the founder and director of the MOFFOM (Music on Film-Film on Music) - festival in Prague. Caulkins is also a founding partner of the distribution company Aerofilms. In 2007, he founded the Association of Music Film Festivals and is also developing a web portal MusicFilmWeb to cover the subject of music film. He has served on the jury at the InEdit Music Documentary Festival in Barcelona and the International Emmy Awards. A former publisher and writer, Caulkins is a native of Denver, Colorado. He has lived in Prague full-time since 1996.
