The 14th annual Oulu Music Video Festival and its groovy Air Guitar World Championships start off tomorrow. The opening day serves the audience with Finnish music video screenings along with music flicks in the International Music Film Contest MusiXine. On top of everything, the Special Screenings feature a selection of punk flavoured films and live performances.

On screen on Wednesday:

Finnish Music Video Contest and Showcase screenings in the Main Hall and Studio at Nuku starting 10 a.m.

Kosketuksessa Pelle Miljoona (In Touch with Pelle Miljoona) in Rio Cinema at 10 a.m. & Näin se tehtiin: Moottoritie on kuuma, Pelle Miljoona (Making of Pelle Miljoona: Moottoritie on kuuma) in Rio Cinema at 8 p.m.

MusiXine screenings in Rio Cinema: Nömadak Tx at 12 a.m., Rolling Like a Stone at 2 p.m. & The Godfather of Disco at 6 p.m.

The Fall of the House of Usher & Vene in the Main Hall at Nuku at 6 p.m.

Flogging Molly - Whiskey on a Sunday in Rio Cinema at 9 p.m. & The Soap Pig at AC Willi Sika together for the price of 9 €

Wednesday's Silakka Clubs will feature:

The festival will also celebrate the art of playing without guitars. The Air Guitar World Championships will start with the High Altitude Training Camp, which will take place in Finnish nature, at the handsome landscapes of Koiteli. The Qualifying Round will take place at 45 Special on Thursday, and the champion will be crowned at a blinging Grand Final at Club Teatria on Friday. Age limit is 18 years old for the Qualifying Round and 15/18 years for the Final.
